Perhaps one of the less high profile consequences of the Brexit vote on 23 June was that the number of people who completed the Kluwer UPC Summer Quiz fell as sharply as the pound. However sincere thanks to the 31 optimists who completed the quiz and congratulations in particular to Nick Kruijsen who answered 16 out of the 20 questions correctly – considerably more than 51.9% . Nice work Nick – I understand that the Wolters Kluwer colleagues have already contacted you with regard to claiming your prize.

Interestingly, the answer to question 15 on court fees changed from C to B on 30 June 2016 due to a change to Rule 371 in the revised draft of the UPC Rules which was published on 30 June 2016. Both answers B and C to question 15 were therefore marked as correct.

The correct answers are attached to this post.

As for the UPC, at times like this, the author is compelled to turn to Shakespeare for comfort:
O time, thou must untangle this, not I.
It is too hard a knot for me to untie.
